Torture I tell you! I sat there and drank my unsweetened tea. After, we went to the park so the boys played can play while I ran and workout. It was so nice out.
We went home and I made me some chicken and veggies. It has been my quick go to meal that I love.
Another Struggle is finding the time to workout. I can only work out when my husband is home because I have no one to watch my son. Plus I babysit mon-fri. So I have to workout early in the morning or late at night. My husband was working days and so I would go work out from like 9-10:30 pm but we found out a 22 year old woman was sexually assaulted in the early early morning walking in the apartment complex. It scared my husband and I because he can't stay up to walk me to the gym and the complex is huge and its kind of a distance to walk. Not to mention these are new apartments and I have to walk through the constructions part that is dark still. My husband is on graveyards now so I try and get my work out in when he comes home before I start to babysit but still don't know what I'm going to do when he goes back to days.
Oh we can't forget the struggle of emotions and mind. "Its just a hand full of chip" It is never just a hand full of chips. I've been wanting my junk food or creamy food because I'm a cheese and sauce lover. Can't forget the fact my husband isn't working out or really watching what he's eating and loses 10 pounds. He said he was going to workout and eat right with me but that has yet to happen. So I get so frustrated because he is still losing some weight. It makes me feel like why try. I still try though. Another problem I have is when I get on a a "routine" to count my calories and workout I kind of obsess over it and it consumes me. I hate it. I need to meal prep better so I'm not thinking about food 24/7. Am I the only one?
So my new obsession food is
It's lettuce, Tyson fajita chicken, black beans (rinsed), feta cheese, Avocado, and salsa
I also made a taco bowl the other night and it was pretty good.
This post is kind of all over the place but I really want people to know everyone struggles. The weight doesn't just fall off. This past two weeks I have been at a standstill I even gained a pound but this morning I pushed through. I finally lost my first 15 pounds but have a crap load to go. 50 pounds to my goal weight but I am going to take it 10 at a time. I weight this morning at 200.4 I was like are you kidding me .4 to be under 200. I almost wanted to try and pee to get it under but I accepted it. Now my new mini goal is 190. If you notive my weight chart thing on thte bottom I have been struggling back and forth with dieting and not but I think I finally got into my grove.
I joined a DietBet. There are different bets but this one cost $25. It is a 28 days to lose 4% of your body fat. If you don't you lose your $25. If you do you get the $25 back plus the pot of the money the people didn't pass gets divided up with the people that did lose the 4%. It started yesterday but it isn't too late to sign up. there are other. Different start dates and different prices check it out.

Girl I'm RIGHT there with ya! Changing our habits after so many years of bad eating can be so hard. What I have found is that when I'm craving something to the point of obsession I just have it. Of course I try not to go overboard, like if I want to eat something bad then I make sure I don't have a full calorie coke to go with it, you know? The more you want something & deny yourself the more it becomes something you can't get your mind off of. Also, when I go out to eat with my hubby (who never has to watch his weight) I usually just plan ahead of time. I go to their website & pick out what I'm going to eat on their menu that fits in with my calorie goal. That way I can participate but still stay on track. You're doing great & remember this is a lifelong change for the better, not a torture plan and not a diet. Some days are going to be better than others but we'll get through :) Good job on exercising!
ReplyDeleteI would look up the food when we go out to eat but we live in a really small down so most of the places to eat are private owned with no website. The only chain restaurants here are chili's (we do not go there service sucks, Denny's, or ihop (this one is really new just got it like 6 months ago). I just make those my cheat meals and try not to go crazy. Like if I get nachos I'll get the half order.
DeleteYou are doing great so far though really. I struggle changing my habits too. It is like I need to relearn how to eat. I don't know if you have chick fila near you but their grilled chicken sandwhiches taste good and aren't too bad, 7 WW+ points. Then maybe your husband can be satisfied with his fastfood and you can have a healthy option too.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had a chick fila omg I miss it so much but my town is extremely small. So we only have a couple of things. I just have to do the best I can.
