my good friend Kristan at Kreations By Kristan.

She does custom orders as well.
She makes bows, headbands, wreaths, and much more.
I am a little jealous to only have a boy and another boy on the way

Weekend Recap

Friday night the husband and I went on an anniversary date night. It has been almost 2 years and it was my 6 year olds first sleep over with friends. We are a boring couple and went to dinner then came home, watched a movie on Netflix, and crashed by 10:30. That is just how we like things. Plus, there isn't much to do in this small town. My son had a blast at our friend's house. He staid up late and got up early so I brought them donuts and chocolate milk.

Saturday, I was able to get my son's room cleared out. I taped most of it but let husband finish it while I painted the rest of his big boy dresser.
After and Before

Knob that are going on it.

This is my husband getting ready to paint the white on top.

My son's room is going to be Captain America colors so we are painting it red, white and blue. The white will be on top, red in the middle, and blue on the bottom. We probably would have got a lot more done but I ended up sick on Sunday and went to the hospital today to confirm I had strep throat. I can't wait to see the room finished and I will post more pictures when it is done.

Coming Up:
~Give Away (soon)
~Finish my son's room
~ Finish painting the baby's Changing table
~Maternity Pictures
~Baby shower.

Suprise!

I am ready to get back in the swing of things but not about weight loss.

I am Pregnant!!!

I am expecting a baby boy February 6, 2015. That means I am 27 weeks today. Below are some progress pictures.
17 weeks

19 weeks

23 weeks

24 weeks

26 weeks (Halloween)
27 weeks (sorry it's fuzzy)

I had my appointment on Tuesday and I have only gained 2 pounds this whole pregnancy which I am very happy. I gained 42 pounds with my first son Mitchell 6 years ago. When I had my ultrasound at week 18 they said the baby was already measuring 2 weeks ahead. I'm pretty sure he will be big like his big brother. Mitchell was 9.8 and 22 inches.

Coming Up:
~My next appointment will be the 24 and that' when I take my glucose test, another ultrasound, and the shot because my blood is O-.
~Baby shower Nov 22 Super excited because one of my really good friends is throwing it for me. I thought I wasn't going to get one since my family all lives out of state.
~This weekend we should be painted Mitchell and the baby's room. I will post before and after pictures.

Where to start?

It's been so long and so much as happened since I last blogged.

First, we finally moved into our new home!

Sorry it is a picture of a picture.

This has been a long and stressful processes which I had fallen off the wagon which you can see and gained some weight back. (we will get to that in a second)

While babysitting, starting a new semester with 4 classes, and trying to build and move into a new house was extremely stressful and chaotic so I turned to food. I ended up dropping the babysitting because I was offered a full time job. Yeah, I already have enough on my plate what is one more going to hurt. So eating health took a back seat which is no excused but I was going through so much and my emotions were going crazy. With all this exciting and happy times going on I was actually depressed. It took my husband and I 6 years to finally buy our own house and I had no family to share it with. My family is all back home in California and no one has been able to come see it. That is why we sent out announcements.

That being said, we are finally settled (to some point) and I'm getting the hang out school, work, dinner, and house work that it's time to focus on me. I always watch a YouTube family the Shaytards and Shay is doing a diet bet so I signed up. It starts the 15th and I did my weigh in today. I'm not ready to share how much I gained back but I will keep you guys updated on my progress.

I'm excited to get back into the groove of things with workouts and eating right.

Insanity is calling my name!

Thursday, June 6, 2013

Was excited now disappointed!

So I saw an add on Facebook for a local gym about doing insanity as a group. They stated it would cost $45.50 a month but it is 6 days a week. I was like ok I can do that. I kept reading and disappointment sets in.

You also have to pay an additional cost of $35.00 a month for the gym membership. So I commented so your saying in order to do this insanity program you have to pay $80.50 a month? In a nut shell their response was pretty much  yes but you get to also use all the gym equipment during the hours of 1pm-9pm(that's the only time they are open) The price is a lot but it helps people be successful when they do it as a group. Plus the DVD program is pricey. I said but what about the people that don't need the gym (my apartment has a full gym that is 24 hours) and I have the DVDs but I live in an upstairs apartment so I can't do them. So I would really like to do this group thing. Their response "we can't help you. sorry. good luck"

Don't get me wrong I wouldn't mind paying to do this.

My husband was laughing at me and making fun of me because I was getting flustered. Here is my reasoning:

1. Why are you charging more for the insanity than your own gym? $35 for the gym and $45.50 for the class. (they say the DVDs cost a lot) Which brings me to my next issue.

2. Why pay $80.50 a month to do it when you can get the DVDs for $90-100 (sometimes cheaper) and you can do it as long as you want?

3. Why would you want to use the rest of the gym when the insanity would be 6 days a week and that kicks your @$$ as is.

4. You know you are over charging if you say well we can't help you and delete my questions. I can't even find the post anymore.

I didn't mean for my questions to sound ugly when asking about why it was so much. I guess I could of worded it better.

That brings me to why I'm disappointed. I thought it was a great idea and would totally do it but I think it is over priced. This is an extremely small town and I do not see many people paying $80 for a class but good for them if they have a good turn out. I would of been all for paying the $45.50 and doing it but being forced to pay for a gym I would use is different. This town is nothing but miners the work 12 hour shift work. I do not know how they expect to get business if they are only open during those hours. The gym doesn't look like it has a lot of equipment. Maybe it's the city girl in me where I been to a 24 fitness and planet fitness. The gyms are fully stocked, you could go at anytime, and not have to pay extra for a class.

Let me know what your thoughts are? Am I just crazy or do you think $80.50 a month is a good deal?

4 year old Super Hero!

Two nights ago my 4 year old and I went swimming. I forgot his floaties but told him not to go in too far. The pool is one you can just walk in like the beach. There was a little 2 year old boy also without floaties and the mom was sitting really far away. I was sitting in the Jacuzzi but was keeping a close eye on him. I'm paranoid. Mitchell goes in almost to his shoulders I tell him he is going to far. The little boy fallows  my son and now he's under the water. The mom runs over and starts screaming and doesn't even go in to get her son. I tell Mitchell pick him up. So Mitchell picks up the boy and carries him to the little boy's mom. The little boy was under for a while but starts coughing so he was ok. My 4 year old just saved a little boys life. The worse part about it was the mom starting yelling at the 6 year old little girl because she wasn't watching her brother. The 6 year old was in the Jacuzzi. Why wasn't the mom sitting on the end of the pool where the 2 year old was playing? It was night time and you can hardly see a crossed the pool at night. Not only that the 6 year old had floaties on not the 2 year old. Why are you making a non swimmer watch another non swimmer? Maybe I am just a paranoid mom but when it comes to water and babies it makes me have anxiety.

On a cute note, Mitchell's words when we get home "I'm a super hero" as he flexes his arms. Yes you are my boy.

Opertation Red Bikini results

I have always struggled with weight. In high school I was healthy and not over weight but I thought I was.
High School Jr year 2003

College 2005 believe it or not I weighed 160 and was only 17-18% body fat.
About 190 lbs on my wedding day.

Dec 2009 I was working out for a couple months and got down to 165.
Oct 2011Gained it all back and I was at about 195 here.

I was very athletic growing up which kept my weight healthy but when I got married and had a kids life hit me. So when I saw the scale read 217 back in October 2012 I was devastated. That is the most I have ever weighed. What made things worse was I finally got the courage to take family pictures and cried because I hated them. The photographer did an awesome job but you can't hide all the weight..

Love my son in this picture but I look pregnant.
Another one I would love but I hate the huge double chin.

I started doing insanity the end of October 2012 but got hurt yet again 2 weeks later. Around December I came across Mama Laughlin's blog and loved it. I loved that she didn't sugar coat anything about weight loss. She tells it like it is and got me wanting to start my own blog. I started stocking some other blogs and loved the community and support. Then I came across Southern Girl Gets Fit and read about Operation Red Bikini in February and got excited about working out again. I have lost 30 since February and had to buy a new bathing suiting. No its not a red bikini but I had a new one in January and I was swimming in it (literally) and had to buy a new one in May.

I still have tons of work to do.
But I am proud of what I have done so far.

Maybe I will start a new link up to keep the motivation going. I look forward to reading these stories because success stories motivate me.
